What Your Dues SupportMembers' support has enabled the association to undertake projects like the MLA Language Map and the MLA radio program and to fund work like that done by the Task Force on Evaluating Scholarship for Tenure and Promotion, whose report will appear later this year. Membership dues help support the production of volumes in the Texts and Translations series, which publishes otherwise unavailable works in affordable editions for classroom use; collaboration with other organizations in the Coalition on the Academic Workforce, which works to improve conditions for adjunct and part-time teachers; the ongoing development of the MLA International Bibliography; and special events at the MLA Annual Convention.
