Sources: Journals and Series

The basis for compilation of the MLA International Bibliography is the Master List of Periodicals. Any regularly published journal or series that prints items on literature, language, folklore, or pedagogy either exclusively or frequently is eligible for inclusion on the Master List. Editors of journals or series not currently on the Master List are invited to submit sample copies to the MLA for possible inclusion. Download  the Master List of Periodicals.

Although all items listed in the bibliography have been seen, they are not all owned by the Modern Language Association or housed in any single collection. The bibliography records the existence of items but does not provide physical access to them. (See How to Be Included in the MLA Bibliography.)
